A biometrically enabled e-service for retirees. This service is available to Central Government, State Government, and other government pensioners. The App is available to service and family pensioners. The app supports Aadhaar-based face, fingerprint, or iris identification. After successful authentication, the Digital Life Certificate is generated and stored in the Life Certificate Repository. The certificate is available online to Pension Disbursing Agencies.
Using a Face Authentication App (available only in India):
Aadhaar Face RD is only available and functional in India. It is available for download from the Google Play Store. In the Google Play Store, look for Aadhaar Face RD. It is not necessary to have an external biometric device; only the AadhaarFaceRD service is required.
Use of a fingerprint/iris scanner with the app:
The corresponding biometric device's RD Service can be downloaded from the Play Store. A tangible copy of a Digital Life Certificate is not required because the Pension Disbursing Office immediately accesses it for processing.
After successfully submitting JeevanPramaan (Digital Life Certificate), a unique Pramaan ID is generated and a confirmation SMS is provided to the subscriber. This Pramaan ID can then be saved for future reference. As a biometric device, either a fingerprint scanner or an iris scanner must be registered.
This service is only available to pensioners whose Pension Sanctioning Authority has joined JeevanPramaan. Please visit https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/ for a list of onboarded pension-sanctioning agencies.
How does it function?
Jeevan Pramaan uses Aadhaar for the biometric authentication of pensioners. You must supply information such as your UID number, pension payment order number, bank account number, and bank name. Registration for Life Certificate Generation can be completed by downloading the PC/Mobile application or visiting the nearest Jeevan Pramaan Center.
Aadhaar Verification:
You must provide your biometric information, either a fingerprint or an iris scan, and authenticate yourself to finish the process. (Aadhaar is used by Jeevan Pramaan for online biometric authentication.)
Certificate of Life:
After successful authentication, you will receive an SMS acknowledgment containing your Jeevan Pramaan Certificate ID. A Life Certificate Repository holds the certificates so that pensioners and the Pension Disbursing Agency can access them at any time.
Get access to your Certificate:
The certificate can be retrieved from the Jeevan Pramaan website by entering the Jeevan Pramaan ID.
Agency for Pension Disbursement:
Life Certificates can be seen and downloaded from Jeevan Pramaan's website by the Pension Disbursing Agency.
Electronic Transmission:
A Life Certificate can also be sent electronically to the Pension Disbursing Agency, eliminating the need for manual involvement.
