This story's protagonist - or maybe antagonist - is you. You set out on a journey to discover why your family was forced to leave your hometown, but you were quickly thrust into scenarios far beyond your wildest dreams. Will you be a ray of hope as tensions rise between people and the fabled monsters lurking just beyond the horizon, or will you use your newly discovered power to take control of the planet?
v0.18.9:
- REHABILITATION CENTRE: A fresh new facility in the Northside neighborhood! You will be able to recruit Boss Girls without needing to enter the dungeon once you have built the Rehabilitation Centre! You can also recruit vanquished Goons, who can then be reorganized into new squads, given certain functions and buildings, and so on.
- Rehabilitate: After defeating a Boss Girl, you can send her to the Rehabilitate Centre directly from the dungeon or at any time! If you pay them a visit within that time, the female will be recruited after seven days (this number can be reduced in future versions).
- After defeating Goons, you now have the opportunity to send them to the rehabilitation center. You can only converse to them for the time being, but future updates will allow you to recruit them for other tasks. In the meanwhile, you can only communicate with them (there are five possible dialogue options).
- The user interface (UI) and aesthetics of the fighting system have been altered. This will not only give me more "real estate" to work with, but it will also assist to future-proof various systems and fun little concepts that I have in the works. If you're not sure where the HP/WP and stat breakdowns are, simply click on the names in the upper left and top right corners of the combat screen.
- During combat, new player and enemy sprites have been introduced!
- Combat: The battle maps now have motion! Ooooh!
- Investigate: Researching Northside will now give information about the Build Site! (There should be a recovery center right there!)
- When you select "Search for Supplies" in Northside (after you've found the Build Site), you'll be able to scavenge a variety of various resources.
- Changes to the backdrop picture used for the Northside
- The Glades and Northside districts now use the woodland fighting map rather than the hills map due to changes made.
- In other news, the battles for Old Town and Hillside Development have been relocated to the forest and the hills, respectively. This is merely a temporary solution while I finish developing the interior fight maps.
- Miscellaneous: I made some progress on making the writing on the warmup more legible, but I honestly fear I'm going to have to redesign the entire user interface...
- Bug: I promise that all of the missing recipes have been added back in this time!
- Ami's paper dolls were overlapping each other in the East Hallway and the Bathroom, which was a glitch. At this time, the lookalike has been ejected from the premises.
- Bug Talking to Lucille in the corridor causes her paper doll to reveal her genuine features, and her expressions to shift as they should.
- One of the arrows on Veronica's character card was improperly positioned due to a glitch. That is no longer the case!
- Bug Sparks may be seen flickering from the tip of Typo Hero's sword when it scrapes against the rocks on the cave's exterior. The sparks... might they be green? He stands completely still for what appears to be an eternity... He then sighs and raises his sword, placing the blade's point against his own chest.
