Synopsis:
Assistant District Attorney Rockford is a devoted prosecutor who believes in the foundations of the American criminal justice system. But, despite his immense career success, the thing he craves the most has always been just out of reach: a family. His mother died while he was very young, and he never met his father, a member of the elite special forces. And, despite his numerous romantic entanglements, his partners have always been frustrated by his strange aversion to closeness.
But Rockford's life is about to be turned upside down: a mysterious clue in a cold-case murder will send him on a quest to find out what happened to his father. And understanding the truth will force the prosecutor to reevaluate his commitment to the rule of law and the definition of family.
Rockford's investigation will bring him closer to four beautiful women: a tenacious homicide detective with whom he has a romantic history; a brilliant prosecutorial colleague and childhood friend; a steely ex-military combat instructor with her own ideas about the justice system; and a sweetheart schoolteacher whose past and future will intertwine to change both their lives forever.
Adult Theme:
The plot of LDNA is reinforced by dialogue and character development. Sex, while thematic and important in the game, is not the primary motivator here. This is not a fetish-oriented game. If you arrive expecting a specific fetish, you will be disappointed, since the sex, while passionate, will be quite vanilla. Any romantic/sexual contact is entirely optional. You will have a relationship with each of the women, but whether it is platonic or amorous is all up to you. This narrative contains mature and distressing themes such as murder, rape survival, and the consequences of child abuse. These are not fetishized themes, and I have attempted to treat them with the deference they deserve. However, because this content is critical to the plot, some players may be better off bypassing LDNA.
Gameplay:
LDNA is created with simple Ren'py programming and Daz3d. It's a Ren'py visual novel. No sandbox, free roam, or management mechanics will be available. There will, however, be a number of conceivable outcomes. Your decisions will have a big impact on the plot and will unlock content specific to the pathways you take.
