The film "Room to Rent" is about a young man who moves into a shared apartment with a mother and her daughter.
The game will be more akin to old-school point-and-click adventures, with a single main story.
You will not miss any game content because the gameplay will not drive you to make decisions that alter the tale. That's how many games do it, but I don't believe it's particularly effective.
So, instead of making the player feel rushed by giving them a false sense of freedom of choice that makes "save and load" a part of the game, I focus on the core story.
You have to accomplish stuff and solve puzzles to advance the tale, just like in old-school adventure games. Life will be like that; you'll have to work, you'll have to solve difficulties, and things will come up.
But don't get me wrong: getting along with other people is difficult in real life, and it will be far more difficult in the game. So don't anticipate anything impossible to happen out of the blue.
