A Shot in the Dark is a decision-based adult 3D visual novel about fresh possibilities and sinister secrets. Learn how to handle love, relationships, and competition as a young man in your first semester of college. Can you start afresh, or will your mistakes follow you around forever?
You take on the role of a young man who is attending college and wants a fresh start. However, all hope for a regular term is lost when a sorority girl goes missing. Will you be able to discover her disappearance's cause before it's too late?
What you choose matters?
Make wise decisions. There is no such thing as good or bad. There is no one road that is the "happy path." The decisions you make can alter the plot permanently from the opening scene to the closing credits. There are numerous possible outcomes for the story, and each one has its own joyful and sorrowful moments. You will eventually arrive at one of the numerous ends.
Intriguing Individuals:
The ten main love partners come in a variety of shapes, dispositions, and skin tones. Your choices will have an impact on the progression of each friendship and the likelihood of any sexual encounters. There will be more persons available for dating, as determined by surveys and customer requests.
Following the Guidelines:
The story itself contains the problem, not the game's rules. You are able to play the game repeatedly since you will constantly be aware of the effects of your decisions. No grinding or pointless minigames will be included to extend the game's length. Every aspect of the game is designed to forwards the plot rather than drag it out.
Update:
Some testers reported issues accessing previous saves. Opening an old save for some testers returned them to the beginning of the scene. When they opened an old save, some testers encountered an error, but they were able to disregard it. Some saves were completely useless. The saves that resulted in a decision seemed to cause the most difficulties.
We advise saving over problematic old saves if you discover them so you won't be tempted to use them again. With any new saves or playthroughs created following this patch, you shouldn't experience any problems.
A few testers complained that the Memories Gallery wasn't functioning properly. On Android, this appeared to be more likely to occur. After opening Memories, some testers encountered issues while attempting to play them again.
If the unlocked memories aren't functioning properly, try pausing and resuming the game again. Play the scene from the game where the memory occurred once more. The memories come at the end of the sequence, so make sure to watch it all the way through. As a last option, we included a "Reset All Memories" button to the Options page. You will have to complete the game again in order to unlock each memory gallery item because it will lock the entire collection.
As usual, some Android devices won't be able to handle the size of this game well. We made every effort to provide Android consumers with the greatest UX/UI. If you experience any issues with your Android device, do let us know and we'll do our best to assist.
